|
The 39th Annual Germantown Festival takes place Saturday, September 11, from 9:30 AM until 6 PM and Sunday, September 12, from 12 Noon until 6 PM in Franklin Park, 7771 Poplar Pike, Germantown, TN. Germantown is located just east of the Memphis, TN city limits. Police estimate attendance at more than 50,000 people. Admission is free. Germantown Festival is known as one of the premier Arts & Crafts shows in the South. The main focus is always Arts and Crafts Market, but we also feature foods provided by local non-profits, rides, games, stage entertainment, car exhibits, community attractions, a limited numbers of commercial vendors, and the Running of the Weenies Dachshund Race. More than 400 outdoor 10’ x 10’ arts and crafts vendor spaces with no electricity are available. Generators are not allowed, but invertors are acceptable by the Fire Marshall. Fee is $190 per space if application and check is received by April 15, and increases to $240 after April 15. Spaces sell out every year, so early response is strongly recommended. Former participants are given priority. No more than two spaces may be used together as a single display. The area is lighted, and overnight police security is provided on Friday and Saturday. Vendors supply their own set up equipment including tents, tables, signage, etc. One parking pass is issued for each space, with additional passes available for $10 each. Supply trailers may be dropped on the Festival grounds, but no vehicles are allowed to park inside the park. Vendor Parking is located across the street from the Festival. RV parking is available at the nearby AgriCenter lot, phone number 901-757-7777. Vendor set up begins after 10:00 AM Friday and continues until opening on Saturday. Breakdown cannot begin until after 6:00 closing on Sunday. Individual changing of assigned spacing is not permitted. Only those products listed on applications will be allowed for sale. Violations will be cause for removal from the Germantown Festival with no refund of fees. All applications are subject to approval of the Germantown Festival Committee. Photo of the type merchandise to be sold and a self addressed, stamped, business size envelope is required with each application. Only a very limited number of commercial spaces are available. Sale of any food product requires a Shelby County Health Department permit and on-site inspection. Germantown Festival will not assume any responsibility for damages or loss to persons or of personal belongings, to articles for sale, or to any equipment supplied by a vendor. Each participant is responsible for his own Liability Insurance. Participating vendors will receive complete information packets including maps, booth and parking assignments, etc. in their self addressed stamped envelopes in August.
